However, we have determined that this fix is good security hygiene and may prevent issues in other areas not yet discovered.\n\n### Summary\nWhen an administrative user creates a new database host they are prompted to provide a `Host` value which is expected to be a domain or IP address. When an invalid value is encountered and passed back to `gethostaddr` and/or directly to the MySQL connection tooling, an error is returned. This error is then passed back along to the front-end, but was not properly sanitized when rendered.\n\nTherefore it is possible for an admin to _knowingly_ paste a malicious payload such as `prompt(document.domain)` into the `Host` field and XSS themselves.","public_affected_ranges":["ECOSYSTEM: introduced 0; fixed 1.12.0"]}],"null_published_at":"2026-10-31T22:13:14.303Z","source_updated_at":"2025-12-30T15:37:59.047Z","source_disclosed_at":"2025-12-30T15:13:52.000Z","is_synthetic_fixture":false,"null_last_reviewed_at":null,"public_change_summary":"First indexed by Null; source disclosure date is shown separately.","null_first_observed_at":"2026-10-31T21:42:30.979Z"}],"next_cursor":null,"snapshot_revision":"42594"}
