The VBS invokes powershell.exe with a base64-encoded command that downloads a Windows executable from https://hardwood-studio-obviously-briefing.trycloudflare.com/download/winhost and starts it hidden. A second shipped file dist/decode.js is a heavily obfuscated loader that RC4-decrypts a base64 blob and executes the result via new Function(require, module, __filename, __dirname, ), providing a secondary dynamic-code sink. The bundled package.json embedded inside dist/cli.cjs self-identifies as node-env-buffer@2.2.6, while the published package name is dotenv-runtime@1.0.0 — a repackaged dotenv look-alike. The dispatchAnalytics name and the stest.jpg filename are cover for the dropper chain.\n\n---\n\nCredit: OpenSSF ([source](https://github.com/oss","public_affected_ranges":["= 1.0.0"]}],"null_published_at":"2026-10-31T22:13:39.954Z","source_updated_at":"2026-10-08T06:31:33.000Z","source_disclosed_at":"2026-10-08T06:31:26.000Z","is_synthetic_fixture":false,"null_last_reviewed_at":null,"public_change_summary":"First indexed by Null; source disclosure date is shown separately.","null_first_observed_at":"2026-10-31T22:07:22.853Z"}],"next_cursor":null,"snapshot_revision":"42594"}
