The manifest's dependencies list has been altered from the upstream package: real @angular/cli depends on '@modelcontextprotocol/sdk', while this package declares '@modelcontextprotocol/server': '2.0.0' and requires it from src/commands/mcp/cli.js and mcp-server.js. '@modelcontextprotocol/server' is not the official MCP package name, so npm install resolves and installs whatever bytes are published under that attacker-chosen name/version, executing any lifecycle scripts in that dependency on the installer's host and loading its code in-process on later `ng mcp` invocations. The lookalike package name, cloned source, and swapped MCP dependency together form a dependency-confusion delivery vector against developers who mistype the real @angular/cli name.\n\n---\n\nCredit: [OpenSSF](https://github.com/ossf/malicious-pac","public_affected_ranges":["= 22.2.1"]}],"null_published_at":"2026-10-31T23:18:22.401Z","source_updated_at":"2026-10-05T06:30:30.000Z","source_disclosed_at":"2026-10-05T06:30:29.000Z","is_synthetic_fixture":false,"null_last_reviewed_at":null,"public_change_summary":"First indexed by Null; source disclosure date is shown separately.","null_first_observed_at":"2026-10-31T23:13:05.881Z"}],"next_cursor":null,"snapshot_revision":"42594"}
