Execution is gated on developer-machine heuristics (presence of Desktop/Documents/Downloads in the home directory) and rate-limited via a hidden ~/.cache/core-js-buffer/.init_check marker, with cover-story identifiers ('Environment check', 'TelemetrySender', a BIP-174 seed label). The package name and README advertise an unrelated hex-buffer utility, which does not match the observed behavior.\n\n---\n\nCredit: OpenSSF ([source](https://github.com/ossf/mal","public_affected_ranges":["= 1.0.0"]}],"null_published_at":"2026-10-31T23:18:22.419Z","source_updated_at":"2026-10-05T00:30:40.000Z","source_disclosed_at":"2026-10-05T00:30:39.000Z","is_synthetic_fixture":false,"null_last_reviewed_at":null,"public_change_summary":"First indexed by Null; source disclosure date is shown separately.","null_first_observed_at":"2026-10-31T23:13:24.290Z"}],"next_cursor":null,"snapshot_revision":"42594"}
