It therefore returns full-width `W`-sample rows into a buffer sized for `ceil(W/s)`. Each `jpeg_read_scanlines()` call writes `(W - ceil(W/s)) x components` bytes past the end of the heap allocation, and the overflowing bytes are the decoded pixel values, which are byte-exact for an 8-bit grayscale lossless image.\n\nThe input is a standards-compliant JPEG, so `Image.open(..., formats=[\"JPEG\"])` does not prevent it. Pillow's Python SOF parser already accepts marker `0xFFC3` (\"SOF3\", \"Spatial lo","public_affected_ranges":["<= 12.3.0"]}],"null_published_at":"2026-11-01T01:03:56.617Z","source_updated_at":"2026-10-20T20:40:09.000Z","source_disclosed_at":"2026-10-20T20:40:07.000Z","is_synthetic_fixture":false,"null_last_reviewed_at":null,"public_change_summary":"First indexed by Null; source disclosure date is shown separately.","null_first_observed_at":"2026-10-31T23:13:39.183Z"}],"next_cursor":null,"snapshot_revision":"42594"}
