pocketmine/pocketmine-mp
source listedECOSYSTEM: introduced 0; fixed 4.0.6
### Impact A remote attacker may crash a server by sending `PlayerActionPacket` with invalid facing values (e.g. negative), specifically with `START_BREAK` or `CRACK_BLOCK` actions, or with a `UseItemTransactionData` (typically in `InventoryTransactionPacket`). ### Patches f126479c37ff00a717a828f5271cf8e821d12d6c ### Workarounds Using a plugin, cancel `DataPacketReceiveEvent` if the packet is `PlayerActionPacket` and the facing is outside the range 0-5 when receiving START_BREAK or CRACK_BLOCK actions, or UseItemTransactionData. However, beware that negative values may be legitimate in some cases. ### For more information If you have any questions or comments about this advisory: * Email us at team@pmmp.io

What to do next
- vendor patch
The original advisory lists fixed boundaries 4.0.6 for pocketmine/pocketmine-mp. Confirm the publisher’s latest guidance.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. GitHub Advisory Database via OSV
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. FIRST EPSS
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
