vulnerability / NVI-00004677 / Revision 4
Easy!Appointments has server-side request forgery in CalDAV connection test that exposes the deployment's internal network
GitHub lists this reviewed advisory for alextselegidis/easyappointments. Published version ranges and source prerequisites are shown below; this is not an inspection of a visitor’s application.
This report has not inspected your inventory, configuration, deployed build, reachability or evidence. A catalog listing and a severity score do not establish exposure or compromise.
01 / Meaning
Why it matters
Published affected context helps an owner decide what evidence to gather. This report has not examined your application.

02 / Applicability
The affected context
Affected versions, configuration prerequisites and known exclusions are public. Confirm each one against the deployed service.

### Summary `Caldav::connect_to_server` at `application/controllers/Caldav.php:60` hands the request's `caldav_url` to a Guzzle `REPORT` call without scheme or host validation. A logged-in backend user (admin, provider, or secretary) reaches loopback, RFC1918, and link-local hosts on the deployment's network. The Guzzle exception path returns the upstream status code plus ~120 bytes of response body in the JSON `message` field (`Caldav.php:74-78`), so the SSRF is semi-blind. ### Preconditions - Backend login on the target instance. Non-admin attackers supply their own `provider_id` and pass the per-row check at `Caldav.php:52`; admins can target any row. - Default deployment per the project's own `docker-compose.yml`, which puts `mysql`, `mailpit`, `phpmyadmin`, `baikal`, `openldap`, `phpldapadmin`, and `swagger-ui` on the same docker network as `php-fpm`. ### Details ```php // application/controllers/Caldav.php:45-82 public function connect_to_server(): void { try { $provider_id = request('provider_id'); $user_id = session('user_id'); if (cannot('edit', PRIV_USERS) && (int) $user_id !== (int) $provider_id) { throw new RuntimeException(

What to do next
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. FIRST EPSS
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
04 / Limits
What this report cannot establish
- Customer inventory, deployment, reachability and exploitation have not been inspected.
- NVD lastModified does not establish freshness of every associated CPE record.
05 / Provenance
Sources you can inspect
Each assertion retains its source. Mirrored records may repeat one underlying publisher; additional links are not independent corroboration.
