OSV carries this publisher advisory for yansongda/pay. This is an aggregated source copy; consult the original publisher and compare update dates.
This report has not inspected your inventory, configuration, deployed build, reachability or evidence. A catalog listing and a severity score do not establish exposure or compromise.

## Summary The `verify_wechat_sign()` function in `src/Functions.php` unconditionally **skips all signature verification** when the PSR-7 request reports `localhost` as the host. An attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted HTTP request to the WeChat Pay callback endpoint with a `Host: localhost` header, bypassing the RSA signature check entirely. This allows forging fake WeChat Pay payment success notifications, potentially causing applications to mark orders as paid without actual payment. ## Vulnerable Code **`src/Functions.php` lines 243-246:** ```php function verify_wechat_sign(ResponseInterface|ServerRequestInterface $message, array $params): void { // BYPASS: Returns without any signature check if Host header is localhost if ($message instanceof ServerRequestInterface && 'localhost' === $message->getUri()->getHost()) { return; // No signature verified! } // ... openssl_verify() only reached when Host != localhost $wechatSerial = $message->getHeaderLine('Wechatpay-Serial'); $sign = $message->getHeaderLine('Wechatpay-Signature'); $result = 1 === openssl_verify($content, base64_decode($sign), $public, 'sha256WithRSAEncryption'); }

What to do next
- vendor patch
The original advisory lists fixed boundaries 3.7.20 for yansongda/pay. Confirm the publisher’s latest guidance.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. GitHub Advisory Database via OSV
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. NIST National Vulnerability Database
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
