OpenSTAManager Affected by Remote Code Execution via Insecure Deserialization in OAuth2
OSV carries this publisher advisory for devcode-it/openstamanager. This is an aggregated source copy; consult the original publisher and compare update dates.
This report has not inspected your inventory, configuration, deployed build, reachability or evidence. A catalog listing and a severity score do not establish exposure or compromise.

## Description The `oauth2.php` file in OpenSTAManager is an **unauthenticated** endpoint (`$skip_permissions = true`). It loads a record from the `zz_oauth2` table using the attacker-controlled GET parameter `state`, and during the OAuth2 configuration flow calls `unserialize()` on the `access_token` field **without any class restriction**. An attacker who can write to the `zz_oauth2` table (e.g., via the arbitrary SQL injection in the Aggiornamenti module reported in GHSA-2fr7-cc4f-wh98) can insert a malicious serialized PHP object (gadget chain) that upon deserialization executes arbitrary commands on the server as the `www-data` user. ## Affected code ### Entry point — `oauth2.php` ```php $skip_permissions = true; // Line 23: NO AUTHENTICATION include_once __DIR__.'/core.php'; $state = $_GET['state']; // Line 28: attacker-controlled $code = $_GET['code']; $account = OAuth2::where('state', '=', $state)->first(); // Line 33: fetches injected record $response = $account->configure($code, $state); // Line 51: triggers the

What to do next
- vendor patch
The original advisory lists fixed boundaries 2.10.2 for devcode-it/openstamanager. Confirm the publisher’s latest guidance.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. GitHub Advisory Database via OSV
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. FIRST EPSS
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
04 / Limits
What this report cannot establish
- Customer inventory, deployment, reachability and exploitation have not been inspected.
- NVD lastModified does not establish freshness of every associated CPE record.
05 / Provenance
Sources you can inspect
Each assertion retains its source. Mirrored records may repeat one underlying publisher; additional links are not independent corroboration.
