web-pixels-manager
source listed= 76.2.4
web-pixels-manager@76.2.4 describes itself as a package for getting IP location and metadata. Its preinstall hook runs `node index.js` on npm install and requests `https://realwbx.com/ip.php?ip=8.8.8.8` with the hardcoded Authorization value `207e4133bd083b9e3e89c5556fc8677e`, which differs from the value in each of the account's other packages. The npm account conx3993 published it on 2026-10-15, one of 9 packages from that account between 2026-09-30 and 2026-10-15 whose preinstall hook calls realwbx.com. --- Credit: OpenSSF (source)
03 / Response
What to do next
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. GitHub Advisory Database
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.

05 / Provenance
Sources you can inspect
