vulnerability / NVI-00009075 / Revision 3
FireFighter has unauthenticated SSRF in its Raid jira_bot endpoint that allows IAM credential theft
GitHub lists this reviewed advisory for firefighter-incident. Published version ranges and source prerequisites are shown below; this is not an inspection of a visitor’s application.
This report has not inspected your inventory, configuration, deployed build, reachability or evidence. A catalog listing and a severity score do not establish exposure or compromise.

### Impact The `POST /api/v2/firefighter/raid/jira_bot` endpoint (`CreateJiraBotView`) is reachable without authentication (`permission_classes = [permissions.AllowAny]`). Its `attachments` payload is fetched server-side via `httpx.get()` with no URL validation, then uploaded as an attachment on the Jira ticket that gets created. An unauthenticated caller able to reach the ingress can coerce the pod into fetching arbitrary URLs — including the cloud metadata endpoint at `http://169.254.169.254/` — and exfiltrate the response as a Jira attachment. On EC2/EKS deployments that do not enforce IMDSv2, this allows theft of the temporary AWS credentials attached to the pod's IAM role. The docstring on the view claims a Bearer token is required, but the code does not enforce it. Affected code paths: - `src/firefighter/raid/views/__init__.py` — `CreateJiraBotView` - `src/firefighter/raid/serializers.py` — `LandbotIssueRequestSerializer.attachments` - `src/firefighter/raid/client.py` — `RaidJiraClient.add_attachments_to_issue` ### Patches Fixed in `firefighter-incident` `0.0.54`: - `CreateJiraBotView` now enforces `BearerTokenAuthentication` + `IsAuthent

What to do next
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. FIRST EPSS
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
04 / Limits
What this report cannot establish
- Customer inventory, deployment, reachability and exploitation have not been inspected.
- NVD lastModified does not establish freshness of every associated CPE record.
05 / Provenance
Sources you can inspect
Each assertion retains its source. Mirrored records may repeat one underlying publisher; additional links are not independent corroboration.
