## Duplicate Advisory This advisory has been withdrawn because it is a duplicate of GHSA-c8r8-95hg-mp34. This link is maintained to preserve external references. ## Original Description SiYuan versions before v3.8.0 contain an incomplete path blocklist in the MCP file tool that fails to restrict access to sensitive workspace files protected by the HTTP API. Authenticated administrators can read plaintext publish-mode passwords from data/.siyuan/publishAccess.json and access other sensitive files like data/templates and data/snippets/conf.json.

03 / Response

What to do next

  1. investigate

Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.

Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. GitHub Advisory Database

A fixed release is not deployment evidence.

Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
