This report has not inspected your inventory, configuration, deployed build, reachability or evidence. A catalog listing and a severity score do not establish exposure or compromise.

### Duplicate Advisory This advisory has been withdrawn because it is a duplicate of GHSA-qjw5-xwrp-xwpq. This link is maintained to preserve external references. ### Original Description PraisonAI (pip package praisonaiagents) before 1.6.78 automatically loads defaults from a project-local .praisonai/config.toml when constructing an Agent, and does not validate the defaults.output.output_file path. A repository-controlled config file can set output_file to an absolute or '..' traversal path; when the developer subsequently calls agent.start() without explicitly passing an output parameter, PraisonAI writes the agent response to that path (creating parent directories as needed), allowing an untrusted checked-out project to overwrite files outside the project root with the privileges of the user running PraisonAI.

What to do next

  1. investigate

Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.

Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. GitHub Advisory Database

A fixed release is not deployment evidence.

Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
