GitHub lists this reviewed advisory for wagtail, wagtail. Published version ranges and source prerequisites are shown below; this is not an inspection of a visitor’s application.
This report has not inspected your inventory, configuration, deployed build, reachability or evidence. A catalog listing and a severity score do not establish exposure or compromise.

source listed>= 7.3, < 7.3.3
### Impact A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists on the dynamic image URL generator view within the Wagtail admin interface. A user with a limited-permission editor account for the Wagtail admin could craft a URL that, when viewed by a user with higher privileges, could perform actions with that user's credentials. The vulnerability is present for all sites, even if they do not enable the dynamic image serve view. The vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admin. ### Patches Patched versions have been released as Wagtail 7.3.3 and 7.4.2. ### Workarounds For sites that cannot easily upgrade to a current supported version, the vulnerability can be patched by adding the following code to `urls.py` URL pattern declarations to override the vulnerable view. This disables the admin dynamic image preview functionality, while the public-facing dynamic image serve view still works. ```python from django.http import HttpResponseBadRequest from django.urls import path from wagtail.admin import urls as wagtailadmin_urls def disabled_

What to do next
- investigate
Identify the exact component and deployed version, examine the linked publisher’s conditions, and retain evidence of any mitigation.
Confirm current vendor support, compatibility and deployment evidence. This report has not tested a fix in your system. FIRST EPSS
A fixed release is not deployment evidence.
Check current vendor support and compatibility. After making a change, verify the deployed build and relevant runtime conditions. Keep the evidence, owner and time. An updated lockfile alone does not prove what is running.
04 / Limits
What this report cannot establish
- Customer inventory, deployment, reachability and exploitation have not been inspected.
05 / Provenance
Sources you can inspect
Each assertion retains its source. Mirrored records may repeat one underlying publisher; additional links are not independent corroboration.
